In House Treatment Consent

The team at Alpha Boarding Kennels will always endeavour to provide your dog the highest level of care during their stay. However, from time to time minor injuries can occur from being in an outside kennel environment. Some examples of minor injuries are, lick wounds on feet /paws, hot spots, fly bite (scabs on tips) of ears, happy tail (scabs on tips of tail), halter rub, tummy upsets, and other minor scratches due to over excitement in the exercise yards. Most of these minor injuries are easily treated in house avoiding an additional costs of a vet visit added to your invoice. If for any reason we felt we couldn't treat a minor injury in house we will ALWAYS call you and discuss, and of course seek professional medical treatment from our local vet. In house treatments typically consist of cleaning minor wounds / scratches with Saline, application of paw paw cream or Neocort cream. The use of colloidal silver for tummy upsets or topical skin irritations. Hot spots treatment consist of, shaving the infected area to stop the spread whilst its drying out and healing and thoroughly cleaning the infected area. **Please note - We will always attempt to contact you prior to shaving an area on your dog and treating a hot spot but treatment is time sensitive so this may not always be possible**

This lesson will take up to 3 hours to complete and we require your full attention throughout. Arriving late, being Jet-lagged, distracted by children or taking phone calls during your lesson will mean you'll miss important information. It is strongly advised that all adults who live with the dog attend this lesson so everyone has a good understanding what to do when the dog returns home.
