Looking to enrol your pet in a dog training program? WIth 20 day training courses available, our courses (sometimes referred as a doggy bootcamp), gives Bendigo pet owners the chance to access realistic, practical, and effective dog training solutions.
Going beyond food reward methods, we’ve trained over 10,000 dogs since 1996, and we’ve continually improved our programs to address issues such as aggression, anxiety, and uncontrollable excitability.
In addition to high-level obedience training, the Alpha Boarding School For Dogs also offers training for aggressive dogs , and helps you foster a deeper bond between you and your pet. Contact us today to experience the difference.
The trainers here are working boarding school dogs within close proximity to their own dogs who are all in off lead drop stay. These boarding school dogs all began their courses with different behaviours issues & goals. Ranging from fear based aggression, anxiety around new people and dogs, aggressive behaviour towards other dogs on lead, to over excitement and uncontrollable behaviour when there was something more interesting to do than listen to their owners.
Our Dog Boarding and Training (Also Called Doggy Bootcamp) – Supporting Bendigo Pet Owners
Whether you’re dealing with fear or pushy behaviour, our trainers understand the underlying causes of biting, barking, or anxiety are key to developing effective management strategies for owners to take home and use post-training.
Our programs are comprehensive, follow-up support for consistent improvements. Our methods and learning principles include The Pattern Learning Training Method, Reset Learning, the Reinforcement Contrast Effect, and more; we help you create effective, reliable and consistent rehabilitation outcomes.

“Every interaction with your dog is important so the methods used to teach them must be practical, positive and relevant to all real-life scenarios”.
Dog Boarding and Training (Also Called Doggy Bootcamp) for Bendigo Pet Owners
Does your dog become angry if you go near their food? You require training for an aggressive dog.. Dealing with an aggressive dog can be challenging and distressing for owners, and we can help manage this with “Good Behaviour Shaping” skills at our boarding school (or doggy bootcamp) for Bendigo pet owners. This way, you can develop a new relationship with your dog.
Considering the dog’s history, triggers, and current environment, owners are educated on methods to maintain calm and assertive leadership. Through consistent training and support, we also help owners with the skills they need so their dogs are well-behaved post-training.
These dogs are waiting to be invited through the gate. Once individually invited they come through on command.
We train your dogs to be responsive and reliable under realistic distraction and then demonstrate their new skills and good behaviour in your scheduled three hour handback session!
All training is practical and effective and you will learn to train your dog using relevant methods that actually work, hands-on and in real-time.
We will teach you practical skillsets that we will clearly demonstrate to be relevant to any behavioural issues affecting your dog. It is these skills that will allow you to teach your dog to learn to learn and to learn to listen to you at home, not to just us here at the training kennels.

Dogs of all ages can learn not to barge out an open gate – in this picture the Beagle is 3 months old, the Kelpie is 1 year old and the Rottweiler at 10 years old.
The trainers dogs are waiting at the gate for their turn to be invited through. They help the trainers throughout the day teach the other dogs to listen under distraction.
