Welcome to the Alpha Boarding School For Dogs, a Victorian based organisation where we run regular dog boarding school programs (also known as doggy bootcamp). For Albury dog owners, we provide a targeted training program that teaches “good behaviour skills” for your dog, and since 1996, we have trained over 10,000 dogs.

From the initial assessment day to the end of the 20-day course, each dog receives individual attention that targets their issues, from fear of strangers to anxiety with loud noises.

Providing relevant, realistic, and practical dog methods, we handle basic training needs to more complex behavioural problems like aggression and anxiety. Give us a call today and learn  how your dog can change its behaviour both within your home and elsewhere.

The trainers here are working boarding school dogs within close proximity to their own dogs who are all in off lead drop stay. These boarding school dogs all began their courses with different behaviours issues & goals. Ranging from fear based aggression, anxiety around new people and dogs, aggressive behaviour towards other dogs on lead, to over excitement and uncontrollable behaviour when there was something more interesting to do than listen to their owners.

Our Boarding School for Dogs (Also Called Doggy Bootcamp) for Albury Pet Owners

Whether it’s overcoming fear, managing uncontrollable excitability, or correcting aggressive behaviour, our expert trainers are equipped with the knowledge and tools necessary for each challenge.

With intensive on-lead training and off-lead training, we use techniques like Canine Cognitive Tonal Conditioning and Pattern Learning Training Method so your dog leaves our boarding school with improved behavioural responses.

“Every interaction with your dog is important so the methods used to teach them must be practical, positive and relevant to all real-life scenarios”.

Specialised Aggressive Dog Training for Albury Dog Owners

Dealing with a canine that exhibits aggressive behaviour requires careful, expert intervention, which is a specialty at our boarding school. Our training of aggressive dogs and rehabilitation strategies are designed to address the root causes of aggression, employing methods that foster trust and respect without instilling fear.

Supporting each dog’s specific triggers and behaviours, our training sessions focus on controlled exposure coupled with effective, practical dog training methods. This includes teaching your dog to listen and behave in situations that previously caused aggressive responses.

These dogs are waiting to be invited through the gate. Once individually invited they come through on command.

We train your dogs to be responsive and reliable under realistic distraction and then demonstrate their new skills and good behaviour in your scheduled three hour handback session!

All training is practical and effective and you will learn to train your dog using relevant methods that actually work, hands-on and in real-time.

We will teach you practical skillsets that we will clearly demonstrate to be relevant to any behavioural issues affecting your dog. It is these skills that will allow you to teach your dog to learn to learn and to learn to listen to you at home, not to just us here at the training kennels.

These dogs live in an apartment so their owner is using boundary training to assist with safely traveling in the elevator.

Dogs of all ages can learn not to barge out an open gate – in this picture the Beagle is 3 months old, the Kelpie is 1 year old and the Rottweiler at 10 years old.
